Hybrid Purification Optimization™ is a never-seen-before water purification method that is highly effective, fast, cost-effective, energy-efficient, portable, and environmentally-friendly
Valparaiso, Ind. Thursday, June 21, 2018. As worldwide disasters continue to rise, and global water sources diminish, the need for safe drinking water has become a critical, global need. To meet this need, Indiana-based Phoenix Pure has introduced a revolutionary new water purification technology that transforms tainted water into pure drinking water, free from viruses, bacteria, and harmful elements. Using a revolutionary new method called Hybrid Purification Optimization™, Phoenix Pure’s Guardian product line can purify 4,000 gallons of water daily at a cost of pennies per gallon, using a portable machine with its own power source, making it possible to save lives in any location worldwide.
“I can think of nothing more deplorable than humans being deprived of purified drinking water,” said Rick Lutterbach, President of Phoenix Pure and inventor of the Guardian 4000. “Worldwide, we’re seeing 4,500 kids die each day due to water-related diseases. We’ve spent the past four years working to design this technology that’s never been used before. Our exclusive HPO™ method is truly a new, lifesaving solution to a global and very human problem. We look at disasters like the one in Puerto Rico and we’re confident that Phoenix Pure can make all the difference when it comes to meeting the need for pure water.”
HPO™ technology and the Guardian product line was created with extensive input from Indiana Department of Homeland Security and other first responders. The resulting Guardian product line has passed the nation’s most rigorous testing, including California’s Title 22 benchmarks.
The trademarked HPO™ method is superior to traditional purification methods in many ways. “Using our never-seen-before process, the Guardian creates lifesaving drinking water at a fraction of the cost of bottled water. When you factor in shipping, storage, packaging, and disposal, bottled water ends up costing more than $6 per 16-ounce bottle in many cases. We can purify the same amount for less than a penny,” explained Lutterbach. The HPO™ process is environmentally-friendly, producing no toxic wastes; and energy efficient, reusing 90 percent of its energy.
In addition to the cost savings and portability, the Guardian 4000 can purify enough water daily to replace 32,000 single-use plastic water bottles, saving the planet from plastic waste. “We’re learning that a full 32 percent of the 78 million tons of plastic packaging produced annually is left to flow into our oceans — the equivalent of pouring one garbage truck of plastic into the ocean every minute,” said Lutterbach. Bottled water has the additional disadvantage of a shelf life, which means pallets upon pallets of bottled water are discarded unused each year.
Lutterbach and his team are passionate about saving lives. Lutterbach has more than 40 years of experience in solving air and water pollution issues, creating technologies, products, and standard practices that have both saved and enhanced lives. “I’ve devoted my career to finding the best ways to save lives and make people safer – ways that are better, cleaner to the planet, and more affordable,” said Lutterbach.
The Guardian 4000 was announced to FEMA at the 2018 FEMA Region V Workshop today in Springfield, Illinois. The company continues to innovate and has also designed a Guardian unit that offers portable showering capabilities, perfect for disaster or military applications.
